Iron Akbo-Parchovany - Ironwulf
Introducing my handsome boy Ironwulf. He arrived from Slovakia late in 2013 and in a roundabout way he found his way to me in March. Iron is a wonderful boy, everything I dreamed of in a white Swiss shepherd, and more. Every day he reveals a little more of himself as our bond deepens, and he feels more settled and secure.
I thank Marcel of Kennel Akbo-Parchovany in Slovakia for sending such an excellent example of the breed to Australia. Marcel kept Iron's brother Ixo as part of the future for his kennel. I also thank Linda Shepherd who had the foresight and perseverance to import such an amazing dog and trust me enough to entrust him to me.
Iron is a great big loving puppy. And he continues to surprise me each day with his intelligence and willingness to learn. With each new experience his confidence grows in the new country he now calls home. I love the way he lets me know what he wants or needs with a gentle nudge of my hand or he asks at the door to go out. I love the way he comes running to comfort me if he thinks I have hurt myself or I am sick. This special young man has the potential and character I sought in my White Swiss Shepherd.
Ironwulf will be in the show ring over the coming months and then we will train for the obedience ring.
Eventually, Ironwulf will be available at stud to selected females only, and I will take enquiries once his hip and elbow scores are known. I will put more information up about this at that time.
In the meantime, the two of us intend to have fun together and I will post our adventures in our blog so you can follow how Ironwulf matures from a teenager into a gorgeous young man.
You can see Ironwulf's pedigree on the Pedigree Database .

Photos of Ironwulf in quarantine
These are some photos of Iron in Sydney quarantine when he came into Australia in November 2013. He is 10 months old. I would like to thank Peter Leitmann and Julie Kowald for making it possible for this young man to come into the country. Not only is Peter friends with Kennel Akbo-Parchovany in Slovakia, he helped finance Iron's importation into Australia. Without Peter, Iron would not be here. Peter has given me permission to use these photos on our website.
