We resigned from the White Swiss Shepherd Dog Club of Australia's committee and from the club entirely.
Blizaard White Shepherds (whites of distinction) is registered with the White Swiss Shepherd Dog Club of Australia; and the name and tag line is owned by us and permission must be obtained to use these in any way or form. We notice this club is using our 'whites of distinction' without our permission as a page link name.
With resigning from the club comes a whole new world for us. And a new identity ... Farseer White Shepherds (creating white majick).
There are big plans for the future. Keep watching this website for more news.

Australian white shepherds have many names white swiss shepherd, white german shepherd, berger blanc suisse but all are from the same genetic makeup unless they are imported.

Year 2007 has disappeared in a puff of smoke.
So much happened. I resigned from all white shepherd organisations; bought a house and moved; I finally got it, and Merlin and I moved to Class 4 at Para District Obedience Dog Club; and after more than 2 years of searching we found the perfect girl to join us — Tala.
Breeding
Whether Farseer breeds or not remains to be seen. It is not the priority. I believe our white shepherds need to be out there working; working in the trial ring at obedience, agility, herding, tracking, etc to prove they have what it takes beside the German shepherds.
The decision to breed will be based on temperament first, then hip and elbow scores; and the availability of a suitable male. It will be at least 12 months before any assessment will be made.
If we ever do breed, and that is a big if, we will be backyard breeders just as the majority of all other white shepherd breeders in Australia. I also will not join any white shepherd association or club in Australia and will not offer pedigrees.
The only organisation recognised in Australia that issues pedigrees for all dogs is the Australian National Kennel Council (ANKC). Any other Australian organisation that offers pedigrees for Australian white shepherds, white Swiss shepherds, white German shepherds, Berger Blanc Suisse does so without the sanction of the ANKC. To my knowledge, there are only a very small handful of dogs in Australia with ANKC pedigrees as German shepherd dog, white and they are on the limited register.
There are other Australian white shepherds registered with the ANKC but they are on the Associate Register to compete in ANKC trials. They do not have a pedigree of any sort sanctioned by the ANKC.
There are different rulings for white Swiss shepherds with no Australian bloodlines, and with full FCI pedigrees imported into Australia. Check with the ANKC for their requirements if you are thinking of purchasing an imported, or bloodlines from imported white Swiss shepherds.
While the pedigrees from Australian organisations are not valid; at least these organisations promote good health practices in breeding and keep records of dogs registered through them. But, buyers beware, if you think you are buying an Australian pedigree white shepherd, white German Shepherd, white Swiss shepherd, regardless of whether you pay $800 upwards — you are not. Always check with the ANKC or their affiliated State organisation if you are told you are buying a pedigreed Astralian white shepherd no matter what name they go by.
