For many years I was a country journalist and photographer in Victoria.
As with working in the country you soon learn to multiskill and I learned and moved on to editing in 2003, and to South Australia early 2006.
In the early years my German shepherd Trubble was always with me until old age caught him in 2002.
Late 2003 I discovered the world of white shepherds and Merlin arrived.
White shepherds are now my passion along with dog sport training (learning) and photography.
I just love taking photos ... they tell a story ... and specialise in dogs and horses; in particular action shots (photos to come).
Since life began with Merlin we have met many challenges together.
As we share our lives, Merlin's courage and devotion keeps me under his spell. So much so that I became interested in dog sports and train in obedience and agility.
Merlin has proved his willingness to work and we are moving forward through our obedience classes together; and having fun at agility.
I believe all shepherds should have basic training and a high level of socialisation to help them become good family members. Any type of shepherd needs the type of owner willing to commit a lot of time meeting their chosen breeds' needs.
Future dreams are to breed and hope to announce our new white shepherd puppy soon. She will also start training as early as possible to increase her exposure to socialisation.
Continue visiting us as I add more to the site; and don't forget to sign the guestbook.
Australian white shepherds have many names white swiss shepherd, white german shepherd, berger blanc suisse but all are from the same genetic makeup unless they are imported.
